What we're about

Our aim as a group is to share the Gospel to those who are interested on campus and to build up those already in the faith. We aim to bring people together, build friendships between students, and to challenge people to faith.

To keep in mind...

Free Gospel Project: This year the Maynooth Christian Union will be a part of the IFES Ireland Free Gospel Project to distribute 13,000 copies of the Gospel of Mark nationwide this year:

Imagine the gospel in the hands, heads and hearts of a generation of students – a generation without Jesus and without hope. 13,000 Gospels handed from student to student at over 25 universities and colleges in Ireland. Imagine your course mates, friends, and housemates having the opportunity to hear and respond to the life-changing claims of Jesus Christ. Imagine ‘Free’ – IFES Ireland’s Gospel Project 2009. Gospel projects provide CUs with an accessible and contemporary-looking gospel, which is ideal for both personal evangelism and large-scale events. They are a perfect platform on which to build missions; great to be read with a non-Christian friend, and of course, are a completely free resource for students. This September we will be launching our fifth Gospel Project, and our vision is bigger and more daring than ever. Christian Unions across Ireland will take part in a massive island wide operation to distribute copies of Mark’s gospel on every campus where there is a Christian Union. With this Gospel project we want more input from students and supporters than we’ve ever had before. We want you to shape this project as it develops, so keep checking back to our blog for updates on the latest news.
